To meet the human and social needs in our community by uniting hearts, minds and resources.
“Never underestimate the power of a small group of committed people to change the world. In fact, it is the only thing that ever has.”
~ Margaret Mead
~ Margaret Mead

FROM THE PRESIDENT
Donny Supplee
Changing people’s lives for the better will always be a face-to-face endeavor. Social media, Zoom and even this website, will never ever replace the power of person-to-person interactions and relationships. For all of us, that should be very reassuring and encouraging! While I take solace in the words of Margaret Mead, I also must accept and even embrace the fact that our world is changing at an ever-increasing rate, and connecting to people is changing moment by moment.
Today, as you and I reflect and consider our next steps, please let’s remember what we do today, tomorrow and beyond is important. We have the power to change lives by what we do and how we do it. We make choices every day that impact us and those around us. My encouragement is for us, together, to impact lives for good!
For me, as we approach our United Way fundraising season, that takes on new meaning. Fundraising is a means to an end. The end is not if the fundraising goal is met, the end is what those funds do to change lives! Feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, counseling a victim of domestic violence, supporting a teen, treating an addiction, rescuing a neglected child.
When someone comes calling on you to give to our United Way Campaign, please help us help others by giving a generous gift! Your gift will help us change our world, one person at a time!
